For cruise operators, the destination is just as important as the journey. This project involved documenting a P&O Cruises voyage to Vanuatu, with a focus on capturing the vibrant contrast between the luxury of the ship and the raw, natural beauty of the islands.
The Approach We adopted a “guest-eye view” for this campaign, capturing moments that potential travelers can easily imagine themselves experiencing.
- The Journey: Documenting the texture of the open ocean and the iconic ship wake to evoke the feeling of being at sea.
- The Destination: Utilizing framing techniques to showcase the scale of the cruise liner against the lush, green backdrop of the Vanuatu archipelago.
- The Experience: Capturing lifestyle imagery—such as snorkeling in crystal-clear reef waters—to highlight the shore excursions that drive additional revenue for the cruise line.
The Result A cohesive library of high-saturation, inviting imagery used across digital and print channels. These assets effectively communicate the “dream holiday” aesthetic, supporting P&O’s marketing efforts to attract families and adventure seekers to their South Pacific itineraries.
